We are all well aware of the tragedies of 2020, but I live my life in gratitude. It is the only way to live no matter what I am facing. Here is what I am grateful for in 2020:

I AM GRATEFUL for the hundreds of people who donated their hard-earned money to our lawsuit KANE vs. NYC DOE which was successful in obtaining a stipulation to the DOE’s contracts with vendors for in-school COVID testing.
I AM GRATEFUL for the flawless execution of our case by legendary Harvard-trained civil rights attorney Michael Sussman.
I AM GRATEFUL for the new emergency “teachers for choice” union caucus I helped to form which is not only made up of educators but also parents.
I AM GRATEFUL for the 16,857 people who signed our petition of NY Teachers Against Vaccine Mandates for Educators
I AM GRATEFUL for the protest that is coming on January 13th at Pfizer’s global headquarters in Manhattan, NY.
I AM GRATEFUL for the fact that people are waking up and realizing in 2021 they must fight for what they believe in as no one will fight for them.
I AM GRATEFUL for select media outlets that is covering the issues NY Teachers For Choice is bringing into the body politic, including Gary Null, Jason Goodman and many at The NY Post (especially Susan Edelman).
And I AM GRATEFUL for everyone who supports what NY Teachers For Choice is doing. 2021 is a year of battle, whether you like it or not; whether you want to battle or not – this is a simple fact. We are battling for the right to determine what does and does not happen to our own bodies. We are battling for the right to be able to maintain employment without being forced and coerced into medical mandates. We are battling for the fundamental rights of freedom and choice. In 2021 don’t sit on the sidelines; please join us in battle.
