New York Take Action: NY’s largest teachers union announces opposition to forced Covid shots. We need more unions to do the same.

     Very important news: Yesterday, we started a campaign to pressure unions to take an active stand against the efforts by President Joe Biden Biden, New York Governor Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill di Blasio and others to force public employees to get the Covid shot.  Later that day the New York State United Teachers, the union of all public school teachers in New York outside of New York City released a definitive statement opposing forced Covid shots for teachers.

“We have advocated since the beginning of the year that any educator who wants a vaccine should have easy access to one. We would support local efforts to encourage more vaccinations, such as through programs that require that those who are not vaccinated get tested on a regular basis. But it’s critical that districts come up with plans to make testing available on-site and at no cost. What we have not supported is a vaccine mandate.”

     This is huge! NYSUT is one of the largest unions in the state and has a great deal of political clout. Their leadership will make it much, much easier for other unions to come forward which is exactly what we need to kill forced shots in New York.

     This idevelopment is crucially important for you even if you are not a teacher or public employee because if teachers unions oppose forced vaccines for themselves it will be almost impossible politically to force students to get them. 

     We need to keep up the pressure. It is working.

     Here are some talking points:

     If you are a teacher, remind them that paying union dues now is voluntary since the US Supreme Court Janus decision in 2018. If you are a New Yorker, call them and remind them that every dollar they get comes from New York taxpayers. 

      We have no idea what the short-term side effects of these shots will be, much less the long-term.

      Forcing people to participate in medical experiments is a violation of the Nuremberg Code.

     Just days ago the CDC admitted for the first time that vaccinated people can spread the disease and that they can get reinfected. Our knowledge about these products is preliminary at best.

     We have no solid information on how these shots impact pregnant women or children in utero, nor how they could affect fertility. The studies have not been done.

     We know the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System is reporting 11,940 deaths related to Covid vaccines, and we know VAERS only reports a small fraction of the real number of injured people. 

     The government has not even admitted that millions of people have recovered from Covid and have immunity and do not need to be vaccinated. Early studies suggest that vaccinating them has a much higher rate of vaccine-related injury. 

     Allowing employers to require medical procedures, and the elimination of workers rights to medical privacy, will open a Pandora’s box of requirements in the future that we will not be able to close.
