The International African Arts Festival 2023
Commodore Barry Park, Brooklyn, July 1, 2, 3 & 4
WHEN: Saturday, July 1 – Tuesday, July 4
TIME: We will be there from 12 noon to 6 PM, Each day.
WHERE: Commodore Barry Park, in Brooklyn. The entire park will be devoted to this festival.
ADDRESS: 56 Navy Street, near the Corner of Concord. This is a school called PS 287. Commodore Barry Park is directly across the street.
Volunteers needed all four days to distribute flyers, talk to people and work the table. You will see a few steps leading into the park. Tell them at the entrance that you are with the Children’s Health Defense (CHD) Booth. The CHD BOOTH will be in the Sankofa section. Lunch provided. If somehow you get lost, just call Curtis Cost (347) 335-6455.
RAIN?: According to the latest weather report, most days look good. We will keep track of the weather reports and let you know the night before any changes.
SUBWAY: The nearest train station is the F train to York Street in Brooklyn. The Commodore Barry Park is just a few blocks away. You can ask anyone where the park is or just follow the crowd.
