KANE vs DE BLASIO has New Ally

Both cases on religious exemption to be argued on November 10th, 2pm

This is good. This is very, very good.

There is a case – almost exactly like KANE vs DE BLASIO – filed in the exact same court as KANE vs DE BLASIO – that got the exact same judge as KANE vs DE BLASIO – that was denied an injunction just as KANE vs DE BLASIO was.

This similar case is KEIL vs NYC.

Judge Caproni immediately denied the injunction for KEIL vs NYC and basically said, “See KANE vs DE BLASIO” to know why you were denied. But this case, just like KANE vs DE BLASIO, has appealed to the second circuit.

So…

KANE & KEIL will be argued concurrently in the second circuit court on November 10th at 2pm. This means we get double the amount of time to argue the merits of the case, and we also now have a “partner” of sorts in this fight for justice, and that partner is the prestigious Park Ave. law firm of NELSON MADDEN BLACK. I just met with Barry Black Esq. and had a fabulous conversation and brainstorm session.

It is of interest to note that the lead plaintiff in this new case, Matthew Keil, was denied a religious exemption to vaccination even though he is ordained in the Russian Orthodox Church. There are currently 5 named plaintiffs but also over 100 NYC educators who have formed a group called Educators For Freedom.

We need EVERYONE to come to the courthouse November 10th for a prayer vigil.

DO NOT BRING ANY SIGNS! THIS IS NOT A PROTEST!!!

WE ARE HOLDING AN INTERFAITH PRAYER VIGIL ON NOVEMBER 10TH at

Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse
40 Foley Square
New York, New York 10007

ARRIVE AT 12 noon

PRAYER AT 1pm

HEARING WILL BE AT 2pm

AFTER HEARING ENDS, PRESS CONFERENCE.

more info on this soon…

Read the KEIL vs NYC DOE complaint here:

Correction – earlier this report used the term “copy-cat” case to describe KEIL vs NYC. We apologize if this gave the impression that we were not 100% supportive of this amazing new legal effort. We have changed our terminology to ensure there is no miscommunication or misunderstanding.

  1. Adams has signaled that he’s willing to sit down with unions regarding the mandates and scoffed and diblasio for not doing that.

“I reached out to some of the union leadership late last night. They stated that … we want to sit down. We have not been able to sit down with the mayor. Listen, they are the credible messengers. If we are going to get through this Covid crisis, we get through it by communicating with the credible messengers, to speak to their rank and file,” Adams said.
“If he doesn’t, if this is still going into January, I’m going to sit down with them and we’re going to get this resolved,” said Adams. “We have to defeat Covid and make sure we don’t have crime turning our city.”

Give the above, hopefully you all can talk to him also. If he’s willing to compromise for the rest of the city workers, hopefully that means he will compromise with you also. Worth a shot!

  2. I think We may have a chance since Eric Adams is a diabetic and uses a Whole Foods plant based diet to control his disease he should be open to listening to our concerns
