Planning Protest at City Hall & Federal Building in NYC

NY Union Solidarity Against Vaccine Mandates

This is a call to all of our union brothers & sisters throughout New York State to contact TEACHERS FOR CHOICE immediately if you are ready to plan the largest union protest in New York City history! We want all New York City, New York State and Federal union members to help us plan a protest in NYC at City Hall and the Jacob Javitz Federal Building.

We are especially hoping to have the union leadership of the NYC Firefighters, EMS Local 2507 and NYC Detectives to be the main focus of this protest as they have heroically come out with the strongest opposition to Mayor de Blasio’s overreaching “test or vaccinate” mandates for all NYC workers. Additionally we strongly encourage all unions to file suit against the mayor as soon as possible. TEACHERS FOR CHOICE is currently exploring all options to do so ourselves. 

We are already in touch with some Firefighters, MTA workers, military personnel, police officers and hundreds of teachers ready to put together the largest union protest in New York’s history.

This protest will focus on NY Union opposition to:

• Forced vaccination or forced testing of all city employees
• Forced vaccination or forced testing of all New York State employees
• Forced vaccination or forced testing of all Federal Employees
• The need to collectively bargain any such mandates

If your union leadership is interested in sponsoring this protest but wants to craft the message differently we are certainly open to that. We just want to volunteer our time and meager resources to this most critical issue of fundamental rights.

TEACHERS FOR CHOICE is a UFT / AFT / NYSUT Union Caucus opposed to medical mandates for any American to keep their job.
