VOTE NO to Adult Vaccine Database

Here is the letter I sent to New York Assembly members on the Health Committee that are voting on whether to create an ADULT VACCINE DATABASE in New York. My name is Michael Kane, founder of NY TEACHERS FOR CHOICE, an emergency state-wide teacher union caucus.

TEACHERS FOR CHOICE represent the opinions of tens of thousands of educators and parents throughout NY State. We have a petition called NY TEACHERS AGAINST VACCINE MANDATES FOR EDUCATORS that has over 22,000 signatures.

We are also the union caucus that lobbied UFT President Michael Mulgrew to change his stance on mandatory COVID vaccination, which he did change.

I write you to inform you I and the thousands of New Yorkers I represent are 100% opposed to Assembly bill A279, which would create a state-wide adult vaccine database. Such a database risks potential violations of HIPAA and certainly violates the 4th amendment of the Constitution. This destruction of privacy rights cannot be allowed to move forward.Vote NO to A279 in committee and on the floor of the assembly.
